Rosemount Rotary Club has funded the installation of a Kody's Closet in Rosemount High School through a Rotary district grant.

Rosemount Rotary Club is pleased to announce that the Kody's Closet project has been completed. The closet has been installed with the help of a district grant that Rosemount Rotary Club received through Rotary District 5960.  The closet provides hygiene products, toiletries and other daily items for students in need.  The closet is one of 18 closets installed by Kody's Closet throughout the Twin Cities metro area.

Kody's Closet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded by Kody's mom after he died at age 18.  To remember her son, Kody's mom founded an organization that would carry on the legacy of generosity that her son showed towards his high school friends in need.  The closet itself is packed with items that students need to fit in when they are in high school. The closet is stocked with brand-name shampoos, conditioners, soap, body wash, toothpaste, mouthwash, socks and other key items that low income students sometimes lack when they are homeless or without a stable living situation.

The RHS counseling staff referred to the closet as "amazing" when they opened it for the first time this week. The project is a great example of a collaboration between a local Rotary Club and a non-profit organization that benefits the community. This project gives dignity to students who have struggled to make ends meet in difficult situations.
