Today we heard from our April Student of the Month, Valeria Irenze.
Valeria was described as "one of the kindest students", "great smile" and "a leader" in Principal Roback's introduction.
We also learned that she participated in the District's AVID program all 4 years. The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program is a college preparatory program that implements research-based strategies and rigorous curriculum at all grade levels to help students reach their full potential. It was clear that Valeria took advantage of this program as she is a member of the Nat'l Honor Society and has a very high GPA. Valeria has her sights on becoming a Midwife and will attend Saint Catherine University.
In her talk, Valeria told us how she enjoys giving back to her community. She attributes her success to the support she has received from her parents as well as her teachers @RHS.
It was apparent to us that Valeria will be a great leader in her field.....we wish her the very best!
