Today, via Zoom, we heard from Karen Flanagan Kleinhans, MHA.  Karen is the CEO of Community Dental Care.  CDC is a not-for-profit serving patients from all walks of life.  They normally see 8500 patients per month but during COVID 19, they are seeing 300 patients per month.  So far, none of the clinic teams have been infected.  We learned that MN ranks 49th in reimbursement rates of children needing dental care.

An interesting tidbit I found on their website:  Languages that are spoken by our staff include Amharic, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, Burmese, Croatian, Dinka, English, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Hmong, Karen, Laotian, Luganda, Mandarin, Marathi, Nepali, Oromo, Punjabi, Russian, Serbian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Ukrainian, Urdu, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese. For more information, see www.cdentc.org

Our very own, Matt Schaap, serves on the Board of Directors for CDC!
