Today we heard from Joe Atkins, Dakota County Commissioner. Joe serves 6 precincts in Inver Grove, 6 precincts in Eagan & 5 precincts in Rosemount. Joe answered the question, "what does Counties do". He touched upon the County Roads, Sheriff's Dept, Libraries, Parks along with Mental Health & Environmental issues. He was very proud that Dakota County is debt free (only 12 of 3083 counties can say that). He was also proud of the many Grants that Dakota County strived for and received.
