Today our club heard from Anna Voight, Associate Director of Student Life.
Anna, a DCTC alum, gave us the history of the college's food support program.
What started as a partnership with Open Door in 2012 transitioned to a Food Pantry in 2020 due to COVID.
In 2014, they had 192 food pick-ups....in 2020, that number was 1603!
It was heartbreaking to hear that 1 of 3 students do not know where their next meal is coming from.
