The Rotary Club of Rosemount is pleased to announce that Rosemount High School senior Brandon Menne is its December Student of the Month.

Early on, Brandon Menne developed a strong interest in academics, particularly in math.  During middle school, he participated in the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Mathematics Program, an accelerated math program.  At RHS, Menne has continued his academically rigorous schedule, taking 10 AP classes, three CIS classes and a number of other honors classes. He is also a National Merit Commended Student.

In addition to academics, Menne has also excelled in athletics. At RHS, he has participated in hockey, cross country and track, taking on leadership roles on the cross country and track teams.

Leadership has also been a focus of Brandon’s high school career.  He serves as an officer on the RHS Student Council.  He also serves on the school’s Site Council and the Instruction Advisory Council.

After high school, Menne plans to attend the University of St. Thomas, Drake University or the University of Notre Dame.  He plans to pursue a degree in actuarial science or engineering.

The Rotary Student of the Month Program is sponsored by Dakota County Technical College and Inver Hills Community College.
