Joshua Hoyt gave a heartfelt & passionate presentation about suicide and his work to prevent suicide among Veterans.
Joshua was 19 and serving in the Marine Corp when his father, a Navy Veteran, took his life.
He shared some alarming statistics with us:
* 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime.
* suicide is the #3 cause of death among 10 - 35 year olds.
He challenged us to have a meaningful conversation with our children.

Joshua is a Farmington High School grad...currently serving on the Farmington City Council (he was elected in 2018 as a write-in candidate).....is running for Mayor of Farmington this Fall.
