Our very own Logan (Rosemount City Administrator) & Bill (Rosemount Mayor) spoke to our club today. Their topic was originally going to be how COVID 19 affected Rosemount but discussion quickly turned to the George Floyd tragedy. The pictures show some of their talking points. Logan mentioned that this was his most trying time in his 15 year career as a city administrator. Some other points that came up:
* Rosemount Police in April performed CPR on an active COVID patient.
* City's COVID page showed real time data and was a model for other cities.
* There were 2 COVID related deaths in Rosemount.
* There were 550 calls in one night to the Dakota County 911 after the death of George Floyd causing the cities in Dakota County to set up a coordinated command center to handle the new influx of calls and issues.
