On March 31st, our club heard a speech prepared by RHS Senior, Hermela Solomon.  Hermela qualified for the upcoming National Competition with her talk titled,  Design Justice.  Although she competed in the Informative Category (not persuasive), she did make a case for the need of proper urban planning for healing and for justice.  We learned of where the term, "red lining" came to be....that an unjust plan creates an unjust design.  Hermela began preparing her speech in November with competition starting in January.  Needless to say, our club was "wowed" by her speech.   We wish you the best in your National Competition.
