Today we met our September Student of the Month, Meti Negewo. In her introduction, Principal Roback mentioned that the way she has influenced her school community is amazing. It became very evident to us her passion for education for all (especially the young girls who are denied their education in certain countries). Meti has been an avid tutor at RHS's JAM program by being a resource for students that need extra help. She has also taught in schools in Ethiopia. In addition to serving on the RHS Student Council, Meti is also the President of the Capital Division Council of Minnesota Association of Student Councils. Meti's inspiration is from Mahatma Gandhi who said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world". We applaud Meti on being such a shining example of positive change.
