Today, our club heard from Rachel Walstad. Rachel is the Executive Director (since 2014) of MN Adopt.
MN ADOPT serves adoptive, kinship, and foster families by providing information, resources, education, public awareness, and support in an effort to find stable and permanent homes for Minnesota’s Waiting Children.
Our very own, Eric Becker, serves on their Board.
We learned that there are approximately 900 kids that need homes and that 40% are between 12 & 18 years old. Be sure to watch Kid Connection on KSTP (ch 5) every other Tuesday on Twin Cities Live. Kids Connection features waiting children. Since introducing Kids Connection to TC Live, more than 30 kids have found homes.
