Today we met our April Student of the Month, Julia Alex. She was described by Principal Roback as a "go-getter" and we soon found out why. Julia was very appreciative of all the opportunities given to her. At RHS, she is the Student Council President, Captain of the Debate Team, and DECCA. Julia volunteers at 360 Communites and was instrumental in painting a mural there with 7 other RHS students (one of which was our Feb SOM) which transformed a blank wall into a vibrant display of inclusivity and healthy food. Along with that, she helped revitalized the RHS's powder puff football game into a fundraising event that raised $1900 and several hundred pounds of food for the food shelf at 360. Julia plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania (prestigious Business School) and major in Finance with a focus on Environmental & Social issues in Business. Our club wishes her the best and we know she will bring a positive change in the world.
